Maple Spice Cake


  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground clove
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup Brown Cow Maple Yogurt
  • 2 eggs


Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine all dry ingredients; flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and spices, in a large mixing bowl, and combine well. In separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Slowly pour in the maple syrup, followed by yogurt and then eggs. Sift dry ingredients into the liquid mixture, until fully incorporated. Pour into a 9x13 baking pan and bake for 35-40 minutes. Once baked, allow cake to cool. Frost if desired.
